Introduction

As Debbie and Jane talk about colorcolour, I've created this blog for us to share our progress and our comments, questions, and ideas. Send me an email if you want to post your photos, and I'll be glad to add you to the list of owners of this blog!

Hello all- it's Sara. I didn't expect to be first on, but my hands have kindly given me the day off work, so enjoying the extra day. Still pretty much knitted out, but not going to succumb to daytime tv. I really came on here to be sure that last week wasn't all a dream, as I don't have much knitting to prove otherwise! Giant wooden butterflies survived the flight, as did everything else. The only big problem I'm having now is that I want to move to France, have French babies and eat cheese all day. Husband is very scared- he knows I'm not joking. Possibly by way of diversion tactics he's just bought me two balls of the gorgeous Hundertwasser sock wool Catherine was knitting up, without so much as a "haven't you got enough wool" etc. The price to pay is that I have to do one pair for him though. Looking forward to seeing everyone's photos as I didn't really take any of our group. Off to look up lucets and dizes now...

Sara! Lucets and dizes, ma foi! I thought I had a good English vocabulary, but I had to look them up too. Glad to learn there is Hundertwasser sock wool; my next year's treat is going to be a music week in Vienna and a visit to the Hundertwasser house!

I'm on my third ball already!

Web of Wool seems to be the cheapest and includes the vertical sock pattern that looks so nice. I'm now trying to set up a knitting group in Tunbridge Wells- I'm not running one from home ever again as noone ever knits, or leaves. Sat here in the office wondering what I'm doing here when there's so much wool at home. The baby thing hasn't worn off, which is slightly alarming- must have been something in the French water!
